Hydrazine (N2H4) and ClO? are very harmful for public health, hence it is important necessary to monitor them in living cells. Herein, we rationally designed synthesized a dual-analytes responsive fluorescent sensor PTMQ distinguishing detection of N2H4 ClO?. underwent N2H4-induced double bond cleavage, affording colorimetric green fluorescence enhancement with good selectivity low limit (89 nM). A ratiometric fluorescent probe for the detection of hydroxyl radicals in living cells.

A naphthalimide-naphthyridine derivative has been synthesized for the detection of hydroxyl radicals. It can distinguish hydroxyl radicals from other reactive oxygen species with high selectivity and short response time. Moreover, it has no cellular toxicity, and can be effectively used for intracellular detection of hydroxyl radicals.
